Genius Ultra

#arbonne

Hello all!  It’s been way too long and I’ve been way too stressed.  I’ve had a lot of cheer related events going on and our season is still not over.  So to deal with the stress, I’ve been pampering myself with the Genius Ultra from Arbonne!

You can purchase the Genius Ultra by itself, but who wouldn’t want the products to go with it.  The three products that I received (Arbonne is running a special right now on this, until supplies last) is the firming neck cream, the serum, and lifting and contouring eye cream.

I wash my face with my Arbonne smoothing facial cleanser and then use the eye cream under my eyes.  I dot it all under my eye and use the Genius Ultra in circular motions to apply the cream.  Before I apply the eye cream, I use the serum since it makes my face firm.  I let it dry and let my skin absorb it and then I use the eye cream.  The eye cream delivers the appearance of a more lifted, awakened skin.  It tones the skin and restores a firmer look to the eye area.

Not only do you have to use the Genius Ultra with the eye cream, but with any of your moisturizers.  The device has three levels of warmth (yes, it warms up and makes your face feel awesome).  You’ll want to pat any remaining product on to your skin, do not rub.  After you are finished, you’ll want to clean the Genius Ultra with a soft cloth.

As for the neck cream, I use this before putting on any moisturizer.  This neck cream helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles.  It has become a favorite of mine.  The entire RE9 Advance set from Arbonne is what I’ve replaced my full morning and night routine with.

Mini Haul

I had $50 to spend at Ulta so of course, I wanted to try some new products from NYX.  I have one product not pictured, which is the Honey Dew.  I’ve already used it and love it.  No, it is not sticky if you were thinking that 😄 I’ve also already tried the Totak Control foundation and I love that too.  It is a dropper foundation.  If you’ve tried MAC’s lightweight foundation, it’s just like that, but cheaper!  It retails for about $13.  It’s full coverage & it’s lightweight.  I feel like there’s nothing on my face when I have it on.

I haven’t tried the illuminator stick yet, but it’s such a great copper color.  Here is a swatch below:

I wanted to try their eyebrow wand.  Ive never done my eyebrows before so thought I would give this a whirl.  The best thing I bought is the Tarteist Pro To Go.  The colors are gorgeous and I will be creating a Valentine’s Day look with this palette!

I LOVE THESE COLORS!  This little palette retails for about $23.  My favorite color is the gold in the middle and the shiner color on the very bottom.  I like all of these colors though.  Everyday and night look ❤️

Redefine Healthy Living

Hello again!  I’ve been doing this detox (Yes, you can still eat).  It’s been one of the best ones I’ve ever been on, to be honest.  It’s with Arbonne and I learned more about it by listening in on a healthy happy hour workshop (:  Here’s the deal with all of the products I’m using.

  1. Digestive Plus
This is something you drink first thing in the morning.  Take it like a shot.  That’s what I do anyways.  Arbonne’s Digestive Plus promotes digestion and nutrient uptake.  It supports your intestinal wall, antibiotics, medications and stress.  It improves calcium absorption and manufactures B vitamins.
  2. Energy Fizz Sticks
Replacement for coffee and soda.  I will drink one of these after I drink my breakfast (protein shake), we’ll get into that next.  Actually, I drink one of these around like 9-10am.  Fizz sticks help with that mid morning/mid day slump  These boost your metabolism and they are free of artificial sweeteners, flavors, or color.  You can get these in two flavors, citrus and pomegranate.  I mix this with about 6-8oz of water.
  3. Protein (1lb of Vanilla & 1lb of Chocolate)
In the morning and sometimes after a workout instead of eating, I’ll make a protein shake.  (:  I use 2 scoops of protein with 10oz of liquid.  It can be water, almond milk, whatever you want your base to be.  Then you will add in 1/4 or 1/2 a scoop of Fiber Boost.  The Fiber Boost helps you feel satiated, and it is gluten-free grain and vegan fiber source.  So 2 scoops of protein, with your base, fiber boost, a handful of greens (kale, spinach, or Arbonne’s Greens), and frozen berries or green apples.
*Pre/Post WorkoutThis would be a protein shake.  You should definitely try 2 scoops of vanilla protein with one scoop of fiber boost, and then shake a little bit of cinnamon in it.  Talk about heaven!
  4. Herbal Detox Tea
A cleansed body is a healthy body!  This tea has nine botanicals to help cleanse and rid your body of toxins.  I drink this a little bit before I go to bed.  It is caffeine-free.  It aids in the mobility of fiber and supports the kidney and liver function.  By cleansing and eliminating toxins, your body is able to to process foods correctly.
  5. 7 Day Cleanse
Drink this on a Friday or Saturday.  You will dilute this with 1 liter of water (32oz) and drink it throughout the day.  (Be ready to use the bathroom a lot).  You’re drinking liquids/a lot of water..it’s almost like “breaking the seal,” haha.  Then you’ll drink an additional liter of water.  (See, just break the seal). Here is a little recipe if you like a dreamsicle! (:
    – 2 scoops of vanilla protein
    – 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
    – 1/2 cup of water
    – 3 oz of orange juice concentrate
    – 1 tsp honey
    -ice
Blend it all up until it’s smooth and enjoy!

Pina Colada Shake
– 1 cup of coconut milk
– 1/2 cup of fresh or canned pineapple
– 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder

If you want a healthy muffin recipe
– 4 scoops of vanilla or chocolate protein
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 egg
– 1/4 cup egg whites
– 1/4 unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Here’s how you can get 20% off of everything I just talked about above! (: Enjoy beauties and health nuts!

LeMarc

Hello all!

#LeMarc Lip Creme #Contest Thanks @Influenster @MarcBeauty

Yesterday, I came home yesterday to a package delivered to me by Influenster and Marc Beauty for a complimentary Marc Jacobs Lip Creme and Lip Liner. 🙂  It was a great surprise!
The lip creme was in the color Fawn Over Me, and the lip liner was in the color NUDE(IST).  I used the liner first, and it was very smooth.  It glides on and the color was great!  I usually never line my lips because other lip pencils feel dry or weird on my lips, but this one actually felt comfortable.  It’s easy to apply and is retractable, which is so convenient.  As for the lip creme, it is the perfect nude for my skin tone.  I think it would be the perfect nude for anyone, to be honest.  It’s smooth and creamy, and long-lasting.  It lasted all night at the event I was at!  Every girl wants long-lasting lip wear and this product is the one!  Here is a picture of the color.

I will definitely be purchasing a few of my own colors after using this one! 🙂

Monday Favorites

I haven’t done favorites in a while so here are some products I’ve been using and loving.

  1. Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation
This foundation retails for $40 at Sephora or at Ulta.  It stays on literally all night and has full coverage.  It’s been one of my go-to foundations when I’m getting ready.  I am in the color 6.0, which has a bit of a yellow undertone.  I don’t have any streaks with application, and it goes on very smoothly!

    2. Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip – Love Bug
I like to wear this as a winter color.  I’m pretty sure it is a fall lip, but I love this color too much to give it up for the season.  It retails for $6 at Colourpop.  You can’t beat that price!  If you spend $30 or more, you get free shipping.  This color is kind of a mix between burnt red to brown color.  You can catch a swatch on my last post here.

    3. Marc Jacobs Coconut Primer
I have not used another primer when I bought this one by Marc Jacobs.  The one I tried using before this was by e.l.f., but that primer felt oily.  This one smells and feels great.  Makes my foundation application so much easier.  This retails for $44 at Sephora.  Its lasted for a while now.  I haven’t bought a new one.  I don’t do my makeup every day, but a lot goes a long way.

    4. Morphe Deluxe Blending Fluff
This is the MB13 Morphe brush.  One of my all time favorite brushes.  It blends really well and it is very soft.  I use it every time to blend out my crease or any shadows from lid to crease.  It retails for about $5, and you can purchase it on the Morphe site.  Technique brushes are everything.

    5. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Highlight Palette

Probably one of my favorite highlighter palettes.  Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea collection is one of my favorite collections by this brand.  I think they revamped their brand and is definitely now competing with the others just as well.  That’s just my opinion.  I like to use the color Sunlight and Moonlight and mix them both.  It gives a nice pop.  This palette retails for $42 at Sephora.

That is all for now beauties.  For all of those that have subscribed to me since day one, I appreciate it, and thank you for being patient with me and my posts.

Estee Edit Makeup

estee-editIf you haven’t yet, you definitely need to purchase these two palettes that comes in a package!  It is Estee Edit’s eyeshadow palette and highlighting palette for $58.  I bought mine at Sephora when I had my 20% off VIB coupon.  Depending on what your beauty insider membership status is, it ranges from 10%-25% off.  These coupons come out in November and April so it’s about the two times you want to stock up on all of your makeup.  The black palette color names from left to right, top to bottom is: Swerve, Riff, Burn, Wavy, Mood, and Trip.  For the silver highlighter palette color names from left to right, top to bottom is: Snowlit, 14K Glow, 1st Light, Gleam, Ray, and Beachy.  These are very pigmented and gorgeous.  I did a makeup look with both of these palettes.

estee-edit-look-2

estee-edit-look-3The smokey eye I created, I used the black from my Urban Decay Basics palette, and that was it.  Then I used Swerve (gold shadow) on my lid, and Riff for my inner tear ducts.  For foundation, I used Urban Decay’s All Nighter Foundation.  I have heard people raving about it, and I finally bought it and tested it out for myself.  It is now my new favorite foundation, and a lot of foundations do not work for my skin.  I am in the color 6.0.  It lasted all day on me.  It’s great on coverage and it’s lightweight.  It retails for $40.  <3 You need this in your life!
all-nighter
As for the lip color, I purchased a few new matte lip colors form Colourpop.  Pictured below.  These were all $6.  That’s what I love about Colourpop, they’re inexpensive, but work great!  Love Bug is currently  my go-to lip color.  You can see the swatch here or the picture above with the snapchat filter.  I have yet to try Viper and Are & Be.  Viper is more pinky and Are & Be is more of a deep purple with little pink.  Love Bug is almost like a red orange with a hint of brown.  That is probably why I love it so much because it goes very well with my skin tone.
colourpopI hope you have enjoyed this post and this look!  I have a new project I’m working on that will be launching in about two weeks!  Stay tuned beauties!

How to Naked 2

Another tutorial!

Eyes: Naked 2 palette – crease: snakebite, lid: half-baked, inner corner: bootycall, and brow bone: foxy

Foundation: a little intro – everyone has been raving about L’Oreal’s infallible pro-matte foundation and now, I’M RAVING ABOUT IT TOO!  If you do not have this, you NEED to get it!  I freakin love this foundation.  It’s beating out my Two Faced Born to Glow. Especially with this heat outside, I love this matte foundation. Anyways, I am in the color natural beige.

Lips: NYX liquid suede creme in “Soft Spoken”

I always set my makeup with NYX’s finishing powder and then MAC’s prep & prime setting spray.

Favorites

Hope you all had a safe and wonderful 4th of July holiday!

Haven’t done favorites in a while!  Here are some products I’ve been loving and a new one that I’ve tried and love!  Enjoy!

The first one I use all the time before I use foundation, it is the Marc Jacobs coconut primer.  I LOVE THIS PRIMER!  It’s not greasy and it smells good.  I got this at Sephora and retails for $44.  It’s definitely worth it.  One pump goes a long way.  The second favorite is the foundation brush from Milani.  I don’t want to use another foundation brush, but THIS ONE! 🙂  It retails for $16 and the brush is soft and it applies evenly on my face.

The third favorite is the 350 Shimmer palette.  I have the all matte 350 Neutral palette and when the shimmer one came out, I had to get it!  This is from Morphe.  It is about $23.  Ships fast and easy too!  The matte lip creme is from Milani.  It is in the color Amour, and it smells like a vanilla cupcake.  I love mattes.  Remember, my secret with any matte lipstick is to apply a chapstick before I start my makeup routine.

Best Damn Lip Mask, this is from Nicole Guerriero’s beauty line.  She is one of my favorite beauty vloggers and her lip mask is so hydrating, and I usually put this on before I start my makeup and before I go to sleep.  You can get it at Best Damn Beauty.  There is a promo code for 20% and I believe its’s: THANKYOU.  The other favorite is Tarte’s Rainforest Amazonian Highlight palette and this highlighting and setting palette is BOMB!  I use it when I wanna go full out with makeup.  I loveeeeeee this!  The brush that comes with it is awesome an necessary (to me) as well! 🙂

Last, but certainly not least, NYX’s HD finishing powder.  If you don’t wanna spend a chunk of change on a high end finishing powder, this is the way to go!  It retails for $8-$10, I believe.  I got it from Ulta and decided to try it one day, and I use it to set my concealer.  The last one is my new product that I recently used because you all know my obsession with new mascaras that come out.  This is Maybelline’s Butterfly Sculpt mascara and when it shows you on the package of how your lashes will be after you apply it, it does not lie!  My lashes were amazing!  It literally looked like it was winged out.  The brush is different, if you look at the picture or google the mascara, it will show you what the brush looks like.  I also purchased this at ulta for $7.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the favorites and talk through.

Happy Tuesday!
